Decks & Patios

Outdoor living built for real use — wood and composite.

Decks, patios, and outdoor spaces designed for cookouts, kids, and Michigan summers — with hardware and footings that last.

Overview

A deck looks simple — until the first time you feel one bounce, see the ledger pulling away from the house, or watch a railing wobble under someone's weight. Decks carry real loads and live outside through every freeze and thaw, so the parts that keep them safe and solid are the parts you can't see: the footings, the ledger connection, and the fasteners.

We build decks and patios to last and to feel rock-solid underfoot. Footings go below the frost line so winter heave can't lift your deck. The ledger is flashed and bolted to the house correctly — the single most important safety detail and the one most commonly botched. And on composite decks we use stainless or coated hardware that won't corrode and streak your boards.

From a simple platform off the back door to a multi-level outdoor living space with railings, lighting, and a pergola, you get a structure built for cookouts, kids, and decades of Michigan summers — not just for the listing photos.

Why T1

What sets our work apart

Footings below frost line

Non-negotiable in our climate. Proper footings keep your deck from heaving and shifting every winter.

The ledger done right

We flash and bolt the ledger to your house correctly — the #1 deck safety detail and the one most often done wrong.

Hardware that lasts

Stainless and coated fasteners on composite builds so connections stay tight and your boards stay clean.

Honest material advice

We'll walk you through the real 10-year cost of wood vs composite — not just the sticker price — so you pick what fits your life.
