T1 Construction

Concrete Installation

Driveways, patios, and slabs that survive Michigan winters.

We pour concrete the right way — proper base, reinforcement, control joints, and cure time. No shortcuts that crack after the first freeze.

Overview

Concrete is the most unforgiving trade in construction. When it's done right, you never think about it again for 25 years. When it's done wrong — thin base, no reinforcement, poured too fast in the wrong weather — it spiders with cracks, heaves, and spalls within a season or two, and there's no patching your way out of it. The only fix is a tear-out and re-pour.

That's why we treat what's under the slab as seriously as the slab itself. Every T1 pour starts with proper excavation and a compacted aggregate base, gets reinforced with rebar or mesh sized to the load, and is finished with control joints cut where the concrete actually wants to move. We watch the forecast, mix, and cure time on every job because in our climate the details are the difference between a driveway that lasts and one that fails.

From a single walkway to a full tear-out-and-replace driveway, you get one crew that owns the whole pour — and a written quote that tells you exactly what you're paying for.

Why T1

What sets our work apart

We don't skip the base

Most failed concrete fails from below. We excavate to the right depth and compact the base every time — even though you'll never see it.

Engineered for our climate

Border-region freeze-thaw and clay soil destroy shortcut work. Joint placement, mix, and reinforcement are dialed in for exactly these conditions.

Tear-out done right

We haul the old slab, re-grade, and rebuild the base — instead of pouring fresh concrete over a tired, failing foundation.

Clean edges and finishes

Crisp forms, consistent finishes, and tidy joints. The kind of work that makes the neighbors ask who poured it.

Materials & quality

Built with the right stuff

4,000+ PSI ready-mix

We spec air-entrained mixes built for freeze-thaw durability, not the cheapest load available.

Rebar & wire reinforcement

Sized to the load — driveways and slabs get the steel they need to resist cracking and settling.

Compacted aggregate base

A proper stone base is graded and mechanically compacted so the slab has something solid to sit on.

Penetrating sealers

Optional sealing protects the surface from de-icing salt, staining, and surface scaling.

Honest pricing

Most driveways run $6–$15 per sq ft in our area depending on size, access, and finish. We'll give you an exact quote in 24 hours.

Backed in writing

Every pour is backed by our written workmanship warranty. Concrete naturally develops hairline surface checking over time, but structural cracking, settling, or heaving from improper base or installation is on us — we'll make it right.
